Marie McQuade has over 25 years’ experience across the not for profit sector. Volunteering as a student at a Ryder-Cheshire Home in Dehra Dun, India, ignited her enthusiasm for what would become a varied and rewarding career. Marie has worked for a diversity of causes beginning with Mencap in London and then moving to Ireland to work with homeless charity Dublin Simon Community. From there she moved to Scotland and spent, almost, two decades growing cancer charity Maggie’s as it expanded from one centre to over 20 national and international cancer caring centres.
Over the last decade Marie has worked across a variety of sectors from international development as a mentor and trainer for Scottish International Development Alliance to funding as a prior board member of Impact Funding Partners. She has been a consultant and interim leader for Victim Support Scotland, Children 1st, Blackwood Homes and Care, Cycling Scotland and Changing Faces, amongst others.
She loves spending time, with family and friends, out in nature walking, running and swimming and inside cinemas, art galleries, bookshops and good food places.
