My university and professional life were shaped by the student movement. Across my four-year course at Durham University and the University of Mcgill, Canada. I have worked as a campaigner, a Sabbatical Officer and a Trustee at Durham SU. I saw firsthand the investment staff placed in student leaders – the work of staff and Trustees behind the scenes is critical and fundamental to the ability of students’ unions to do great work, represent thousands of students, and change society.
I am inspired to work at Peridot to empower diverse and successful talent to join the student movement and wider third sector. As a people-orientated person who enjoys working alongside colleagues with socially conscious values, I know I am in the right place. I am enjoying paying back the investment and guidance that was given to me and finding new third-sector leaders.
I strive for authenticity to demonstrate there is no one way to live your life. In my personal life, I love to perform and organize shows, watch an eclectic mix of films, take long dog walks through fields, and have recently learned to ballroom dance! I am a passionate member of the LGBT+ community and champion global queer rights with the non-profit organisation ReportOUT.Download our SU brochure
