Like any good fundraiser, I love a crazy challenge in the name of a good cause – from running around the Isle of Wight in two days, running coast to coast along Hadrian’s wall in 24 hours, cycling around Loch Ness or swimming in freezing temperatures near the Alps in December. If it sounds stupid and will hurt, then I’m probably in. But to be honest, I do it for the carb loading and beers afterwards.
I’ve had six incredibly enjoyable and successful years as a fundraiser in the charity sector, from living in Ghana and discussing the SDGs in the President’s office, building a website in the jungles of Southern India, launching a partnership with Electronic Arts, FIFA21 and Hummel, to winning the Chartered Institute of Fundraising ‘Fundraiser of the Year Award 2020’, it has been an absolute honour to work in one of the most progressive, rewarding and collaborative sectors around.
Having started my career in recruitment, I’m back to working with organisations to deliver better leadership within fundraising to accelerate societal change. I’m always available to talk about how myself and Peridot can support you in your career advancement or find you the best fundraising talent in the market.
The experience I had with Eddie was amazing! I have nothing but praise and appreciation for him!
He was consistently accessible and responsive throughout the process, which made for great communication and a fantastic experience. I genuinely nice person who knows the sector very well and tells it like it is. I was very well informed and developed a good level of understanding of the role, and the hospice prior to my application. He was brilliant!
Being a candidate can be intense, the process is long, the preparation extensive, and anxieties about interviews and rejections are massive. Eddie got this and was empathic to me, and supported me throughout my journey as a candidate.
Having worked with other recruiters this experience (not just because was successful) has been exceptional. Thank you!

We had a positive experience working with Eddie Taylor of Peridot and would certainly recommend him and the organisation. He was great – communicative, responsive and delightful to deal with.
Client from a mental health charity
To be honest, my experience with recruitment agencies have been mixed to disappointing, but we couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Eddie Taylor and the results. He really took the time to understand the needs of our organisation, help us develop the JD to attract the right talent, and produced an outstanding shortlist. The quality of the candidate who was appointed exceeded our initial expectations. I have no doubt that we got a better result from working with Eddie, so thank you.
