Throughout my career I have delivered hundreds of senior leadership and non-executive appointments into education providers. At Peridot I lead the team responsible for recruiting excellent talent into schools, multi-academy trusts, and education charities. The leaders we recruit make a tangible impact on communities, and I find great value in knowing that.
My journey in recruitment started in Graduate and Early Talent recruitment where I ran large-scale processes for big corporate and Civil service schemes, before I headed into the world of executive search and have not looked back since. I believe it is important to bring a person-centred, values-led approach to all projects to ensure that the leaders we are placing are the right people to take organisations of great social importance forwards. This social impact is core to my personal values. By placing the right leaders in Schools, Multi-Academy Trusts and Education charities, we are enabling change and inspiring progress.
The individuals we get to work with both from a client-side and the candidate side are intrinsically motivated by doing something for others, whether that be through educating children or through helping the underprivileged. It’s so special to me to work with these people on a daily basis and feel you are helping to make a difference as well.
I love being busy and making a difference where it is needed. In my spare time you will find me either hanging onto a non-league football career, volunteering on a Local Governing Board at a nearby primary school, following Britpop bands around the country or enjoying the parks of my hometown, Royal Leamington Spa with my dog – Ralf!
