I love drinking espresso, watching TED Talks and creating environments where young people can create real systemic change.
I’m incredibly passionate about the student movement and my experience includes two years as a Sabbatical Officer and Trustee at Abertay Students’ Association.
I have been a volunteer for NUS Scotland’s Procedural committee, which saw me chair part of their flagship conference. I’ve also been an active member in the NUS Black Students and Disabled students’ campaigns, successfully passing policy in both.
As an Officer, I supported Abertay SA through a NUS diagnostic and turnaround, the recruitment for a new trustee board and CEO (where I was a Peridot client!) as well as the conception and delivery of Abertay’s first ever TEDx conference.
I have also retained my direct links into Students’ Union and I am currently supporting Wolverhampton SU as a member of their Trustee Board.
Since joining Peridot Partners, I’ve delivered over 50 senior leadership and board appointments in the Students’ Union, youth and wider not-for-profit sectors.
In addition to supporting Students’ Unions, I have also supported a range of youth, education and membership organisations including new charities like YGAM, national charities like Save the Children and professional membership bodies like DACS.
Talk to me about:
“This is the first time that the Union of Kingston Students has used an external recruitment company. Peridot Partners have been an excellent organisation to work alongside with in our search for our new Chief Executive Officer. Peridot’s search resulted in the highest calibre of candidates from a very wide and diverse background, shortlisted and interviewed for selection.
The whole process was a huge success, with incredible support, guidance and project management from Bill. During the process, we found Bill to extremely professional, resourceful, and prompt.”
