Bill has a passion for creating environments where people can create systemic change and a real commitment to delivering inclusive, empowering and robust recruitment.

Bill has been with Peridot since 2016. In that time, he has led hundreds of Chief Executive, Senior Leadership and Board appointments for charities. Over 40 of these are Chief Executive appointments across England, Wales and Scotland.

Bill also has lived experience of leading transformation projects as a Trustee of two charities where he secured better financial positions, led governance reform and recruited new CEOs and Trustees. Bill was also a member of the Transformation Board at the University of Suffolk Students’ Union.

As a former two-year students’ union Sabbatical Officer, Bill knows that many talented young people find it hard to find meaningful employment after their term of office and has offered pro-bono career workshops to empower young people and help them in their job hunts.

Bill is proud of his strong track record of recruiting women, people of colour, LGBTQ+, and disabled people into leadership positions.

Outside of work, Bill is a foster carer, an avid football fan, an espresso drinker and loves challenging his physical and mental strength as a Crossfitter.

“Following a poor experience with another recruitment company, Bill and stepped in to support our recruitment campaign at the last minute. He was receptive to our thinking and able to develop our ideas for the role, culminating in a professional recruitment pack. Throughout the recruitment campaign, Bill provided timely updates on progress and supported us thoroughly during the interview stages. At both longlist and shortlist stages, there were high-quality and a good calibre of candidates presented. Bill provided us with additional capacity throughout the process which enabled us to concentrate on securing the right candidate.”

“Bill has been really helpful and supportive during the process of me achieving this new role. He also provided honest and useful feedback for me to reflect upon so I could improve my approach. - CEO at Community Resource.

“I had a really great candidate experience with Peridot. I felt supported and valued from my first exploratory conversation, right through to the aftercare provided after securing my role. Too many recruiters make you feel like their role stops once they have found you and put you forward for a role, but Peridot clearly care about their candidates and want them to perform at their best. They take time to make sure you fully understand the context and expectations of the role and they offer support and meaningful feedback all along the process. I am sure that this boost to my confidence and performance at interview helped me secure my exciting new role.”
