Our purpose is to work with clients to find leaders who create positive social change. We are closely aligned to organisations that exist to make society function better.

Whether it’s organisations working to address systemic racism, inequality, food insecurity, the protection of human rights, or those organisations working in the criminal justice or homelessness space, Peridot is proud to partner with a range of charities, think tanks, foundations and social enterprises who address the effects of injustice and its symptoms, and find solutions to make positive change.

Our Team

James Hunt leads our Social Justice recruitment sector as Head of Not for Profit Practice.

He is a senior executive search consultant with 16 years’ recruitment experience which has focused on senior search and selection within the non-profit sector. Successful appointments include: a Strategic Lead, Urban Health Taskforce for Impact on Mental Health, an Executive Director for Bromley by Bow Centre, Chief Executive’s for Emmaus Coventry and Warwickshire, Girls Friendly Society, Headway East London, and Trustees for Carefree and Mental Health Matters.

Philippa Fabry is the Director of Not for Profit Practice at Peridot Partners.

Philippa is a Partner and shareholder at Peridot Partners and leads the Not for Profit Team. She has worked widely with a range of social justice organisations including two of the leading national social justice charities, Nacro and P3; organisations in the criminal justice space such as Spark Inside, Unlock and Unlocked Graduates; and with organisations supporting marginalised, dispossessed and vulnerable groups such as the homelessness charity Emmaus UK, Migrant Help and Action Homeless.

Our Process

When we’re looking for the leaders and trustees you need, we’ll put together a fairly costed proposal that takes into account your budget.

We recognise the investment that you make in trusting Peridot to support your leadership recruitment and we know that this investment could also be transformational for your organisation.

Our process is flexible to your needs and rigorous in quality, research, and customer service.

  1. The Proposal

Should you wish to explore partnering with Peridot to manage your search and selection campaign, we will produce a full and comprehensive proposal outlining our methodology, experience, track record, fee structure, additional costs, and terms.

  1. Briefing Meetings

Once commissioned by our client, following approval of our comprehensive proposal of works, we undertake briefings to fully understand the role(s) we are recruiting and the culture of the organisation they will be joining.

  1. Search

We manage our search over a pre-agreed period, with weekly progress reports submitted to the client detailing market feedback about the role, market perception of the client, and any challenges being faced by your consultants at Peridot.

We build a dedicated microsite and candidate pack for each recruitment campaign so prospective candidates can access information relating to the vacancy at their convenience.

You should expect us to oversee a substantial search of executive leaders, non-executive portfolio holders, and strategic consultants with relevant skills and experience to suit your specific requirements.

  1. Selection & Assessment

Once we reach the application deadline, your recruitment team review all applications against your role profile criteria and author a sift report, categorising candidates into those recommended for interview, and those not.

We support you in structuring the assessment and selection days, as well as writing assessment activities and questions if you require this.

We attend the interviews and act as advisors to the panel so that a full offer can be made to selected candidates, and those who are not selected can be provided with developmental feedback regarding their performance during their interview.
