Systems Improvements Coordinator LAMDA

LAMDA, an Ofqual regulated arts-based awarding organisation and higher education institute, are recruiting for a brand-new role, Systems Improvement Coordinator to work internally and externally with their assessment provider to improve systems and processes.

  • Location: Hybrid - Office based 2 twice a week
  • Salary: £33,000- £36,000

The Systems Improvement Coordinator is a new role for LAMDA and will play a pivotal role in ensuring learners on an international scale experience a seamless and positive assessment process.

As someone with previous experience working with exam or assessment platform providers you will work with LAMDA’s provider ExamTrack to develop and improve the business processes of exams, creating synergy between the examination systems and other internal processes.

You will be creative in looking at new ways of doing things and work closely with ExamTrack to turn these ideas into a reality.

The first project the Systems Improvement Coordinator will work on is ensuring the finance and exam systems work cohesively to ensure the income, costs and debtors of the Examinations Department are maintained through efficient and effective systems processes.

On a day-to-day basis, you will also have oversight of some of the key financial activities of the examinations team including providing monthly overview reports on income, costs, and debtors to identify risks and opportunities, assist with chasing late payments from customers and escalating issues to your colleagues in the finance team and oversee the processing of Examiner fee payment and expense claims.

LAMDA is a leader in performing arts training and strives for excellence in every facet of our organisation.

Founded in 1861, LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) is a world-leading conservatoire offering exceptional vocational training to actors, stage managers, technicians, and directors. In addition to six validated degree programmes, LAMDA offers a Foundation Diploma and a number of validated semester and summer short courses.

In July 2018, LAMDA joined the register of Higher Education Providers, a key step towards achieving degree awarding powers. LAMDA will now operate independently from the Conservatoire of Dance and Drama, receiving funding directly from the Office for Students.

The works of the academy are complemented by that of LAMDA Examinations, through which LAMDA offers a drama and communications-based syllabus leading to accredited and non-accredited awards in the UK and overseas.

In 2017, LAMDA moved into its new £28.2m centre for world-leading drama training. LAMDA’s new home features ten large training and rehearsal studios, three theatres – the 200 seat Sainsbury Theatre, 120-seat Carne Studio Theatre, the Linbury Studio, and a fully equipped digital and audio suite. In January 2018, LAMDA alumni Benedict Cumberbatch was appointed the Academy’s President.
