mothers2mothers (m2m) is a primary healthcare organisation providing healthcare to families who need it most, delivered by women in their own communities who know them best.

Across sub-Saharan Africa since 2001, m2m has reached 15 million people, kept 2 million women and children alive, employed over 12,000 women and has virtually eliminated mother-to-child transmission of HIV.

About the role

As Senior Private Sector Partnerships Lead, you will deliver m2m’s global approach to partnerships, engaging the private sector, and generating a diverse portfolio of high-impact and strategic partners and funders that align with and will help accelerate and fund the delivery and success of m2m’s 2022-2026 Strategic Plan.

As a key frontline fundraiser for m2m, you will proactively and creatively identify and pursue opportunities to generate new partnerships alongside leading a portfolio of diverse and high-value partnerships.

You will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external networks to engage private sector prospects to support the work of m2m through programmatic, flexible funding and non-financial partnerships.

You will have responsibility for the stewardship of existing partnerships; developing and implementing partnership strategies; shaping and managing new opportunities, and optimising relationships.

You will contribute to and support senior leadership in shaping and delivering the Private Sector Partnership strategy as part of the wider global resource mobilisation and organisational strategies.

Who we are looking for

Qualifications and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience and success in cultivating and manging long-term private sector partnerships, including a proven track record of delivering high-impact, multi-million, multi-year, multi-faceted partnerships with the private sector.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop new business with aligned private sector partners.
  • Experience developing and implementing partnerships and fundraising strategies targeting the private sector, including multi-faceted elements (e.g. employee engagement, cause-related marketing, brand partnerships, or committed giving) and co-creation.
  • Experience in managing high-level external relationships, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in international development and/or public health sectors, ideally including familiarity with relevant technical areas.
