AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) is recruiting for a Senior Manager (Qualification and Assessment Design) for a 12-month contract to cover a maternity leave and lead on managing best practice for a new suite of qualifications that will go live in September 2022.

  • Location: Canary Wharf, London (Hybrid- travel to the office 1-2 times a week)
  • Salary: £55,000- £60,000

AAT is the UK’s leading qualification and professional membership body for accounting technicians and is in an exciting new phase. We have been going through a cultural transformation, having just relocated to stunning new offices in Canary Wharf. We are about to launch a new suite of qualifications, so we are recruiting a Senior Manager (Qualification and Assessment Design) to lead a team of 3 direct reports.

You will ensure the quality of assessment design, best practices in marking, monitoring, and controls, and the setting of assessment design strategy for new products.

The Senior Manager (Qualifications and Assessment Design) will be an experienced education professional, with a background in qualification and assessment design and development, ideally with an Ofqual regulated environment, and experience of working on high value, high level, complex assessments.

You will be well versed in designing and implementing human-marked assessments and their management and quality assurance to the highest of standards.

The successful candidate will also need to train and inspire others and lead on strategy, as well as have a track record in the implementation of best practices and dealing with regulatory requirements.

You will be confident in building internal and external relationships with senior-level stakeholders, including attending meetings with Senior Management and Executive teams, employers, training providers, and regulators, and be able to convey your knowledge and views at all levels.

This is an exciting contract to undertake, as you will lead on managing marking best practices for the new suite of qualifications going live in September 2022, implementing marking quality controls, and feeding into the development process with your qualification and assessment design expertise.
