STEP, a global professional association, are recruiting for Senior Manager – Professional Development to cover a 12 month maternity and continue their innovative work while helping to grow and develop the team and remit.
The Senior Manager of Professional Development will lead STEP’s Education strategy worldwide, ensuring that all STEP education and training services meet the professional development needs of prospective and current members.
Overseeing all aspects of the Professional Development Team’s activity, they will ensure that outcomes of STEP’s Education Strategy are met and aligns with STEP’s mission and values, as well as managing the Professional Development Team.
The successful applicant will oversee Continuing Professional Development offerings are engaging and relevant to members’ needs integrating with academic and professional standards requirements.
The Senior Manager of Professional Development will work with the Markets Directorate, ensuring the development of qualifications is relevant to target markets globally and the professional development of members, reviewing these in line with market changes, feedback from students and employers, and ensuring that these meet professional training needs.
They will also oversee the delivery of STEP’s university partnership programme and its systems for assessing accreditation of prior learning at both programme and modular level across all levels of the Qualifications and Membership Framework (QMF).
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have experience of managing projects, managing a team, and experience of working in an education setting at senior level (ie, higher, further or professional body or equivalent).
The person will have experience of working within an academic cycle, education quality assurance or qualification approval processes, procedures and policies. They will have an understanding of the UK and international qualification frameworks and course enrolments / admissions.
You will also have a direct experience of education development relating to qualifications and training, as well as direct experience of working with universities in the UK and/or internationally in relation to any of the following : accreditation, education, partnerships of professional memberships.
