Researcher and Business Support – Peridot Partners

Peridot Partners

We’re looking for someone who can help us find brilliant people to be chief executives, trustees, principals, directors and senior leaders for organisations that are helping to change the world for good.

  • Location: King's Cross St Pancras, London
  • Salary: £20k - £25k

About the role

We’re an executive search firm which means that we work with charities, universities, colleges, students’ unions and other institutions to recruit their leaders. This could be a CEO role or a Trustee. It could also be a Director of Fundraising or a College Principal.

In this role, you’ll research people who might be a good fit for our clients. This means you’ll need to be really organised, have great attention to detail and be passionate about delivering high quality work.

We have a pretty flexible culture, but realistically we’ll need you to be available during key business hours for at least the first six months.

Join a diverse team of lovely, compassionate people who enjoy great benefits and a transparent culture

As a person, you’ll be values driven. We’re all quite different at Peridot but what binds us together is the way that we work and the accountability we have for each other and our commitment to doing a good job – for our clients and our candidates.

You’ll probably be very curious, which means you’ll bring different ways of thinking about research and how you can find those exceptional leaders.

A typical day might look like researching potential candidates for a CEO role at an LGBT charity in the morning, through to answering and registering candidates who have applied to be a Trustee at a mental health charity in the afternoon.

You’ll also support us to book in interviews, making sure that we’re communicating to clients and candidates in a transparent and timely way.

At every stage, you’ll use our database to make sure that we capture everything that we do, have a clear audit trail and are GDPR compliant. But, don’t worry, we will provide training on this.

So, you’ll be hot on admin, provide incredible customer service and help us find the best people to drive social change in the UK.

And, in return, you’ll join a team of lovely, compassionate people with great benefits and a very transparent culture.

You will be joining a team with a diverse range of working parents, LGBT+, disabled and BAME staff and we are committed to ensuring that we have an inclusive workforce that empowers everyone to reach their potential and thrive.

Join us!

“I set up Peridot Partners because I wanted to create an environment that would liberate great recruiters to be focused on outcomes, to have the space to be themselves, and to operate with the values and ethics that we believe are most relevant to delivering great work with socially focused organisations.”

Grant Taylor, Managing Director, Peridot

Thank you for visiting our site and considering our new role of Researcher and Business Support at Peridot Partners. We hope you enjoy reading about our company and this opportunity in our team!

Peridot was set up in 2009, and we have been on quite a journey since. We’re clear about our identity, focus and strategy and have never been stronger in relation to our people, brand reputation and financial performance.

Based in modern offices in Pancras Square, we have a great team of people. We’re a diverse team of working parents, LGBT+, disabled and BAME people, and our values underpin how we work together and with our clients.

Our environment is very easy-going with flexible hours and home working. We have a lot of fun and provide the freedom for everyone to pursue their interests – whether that’s taking extended time away within working hours, or starting late or finishing early.

We’re focused on outcomes, great results and happy clients, and this role offers a large degree of autonomy about how that is achieved. Given that freedom, we must ensure that we recruit people who appreciate our culture and who can carry the responsibility and accountability maturely.

We enjoy a strong reputation in the charity sector for delivering high profile retained recruitment projects. These range from Chief Executive, Chair and Trustee appointments to senior fundraising and marketing roles. We work with large, medium and small sized organisations across charity, education and membership sectors.

As a research-led company, we’re now in a position to expand our team and need someone who is highly organised, inquisitive and loves research to support the delivery of our assignments. You’ll have an agile approach and will love detail and meeting quality standards to help record and update information in relation to project management.

We hope you enjoy reading about us and would like the chance to have an informal conversation with you at any time.
