Support the delivery of regulatory assurance, governance and continuous improvement priorities within one of the UK's leading awarding organisations.

  • Location: Remote
  • Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
  • Closing date: Rolling applications

A fixed-term senior specialist role established to support the delivery of EAL’s planned regulatory assurance, governance and continuous improvement priorities. The role complements existing internal expertise and provides additional delivery capacity during a defined period of focused continuous improvement activity.

Who we are

EAL develops and awards qualifications and assessments that support skills development across a range of technical and professional sectors. As part of the Enginuity Group, EAL is committed to delivering high-quality products and services whilst maintaining strong regulatory standards and operational excellence.

About the role

This newly created six-month fixed-term contract provides additional senior-level support within the Regulatory Change Programme.

Working closely with colleagues across the business, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting regulatory assurance and governance activity across the organisation
  • Reviewing controls and processes to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Providing regulatory challenge and assurance to operational teams
  • Supporting regulatory assurance activity across key operational processes, including incident, appeals and casework activities.
  • Supporting regulatory reporting and monitoring activities
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to support continuous improvement
  • Preparing reports, recommendations and updates for senior colleagues

This is not a people management role. Instead, the successful candidate will work alongside the existing Regulatory Compliance & Incident Manager, providing additional expertise and operational support where needed most.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking applications from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience within an Awarding Organisation
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and regulated qualifications
  • Experience supporting regulatory casework, including incidents, appeals and malpractice matters.
  • Experience engaging with regulators and interpreting regulatory requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to provide constructive challenge and regulatory assurance
  • Experience operating independently within a complex and regulated environment

Experience of internal audit and self-assessment activity would be advantageous but is not essential.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can quickly establish credibility, operate autonomously and provide immediate value in a complex, highly regulated environment.
