About the role

Skills and Education Group Awards are recruiting two Product Development Managers to join their growing team and project manage a dedicated portfolio of products across a variety of industry sectors.

You will each manage an individual portfolio of products, working with partners, stakeholders and specialists to manage the lifecycle of review and development projects, assessment strategies, e-enabled systems and regulatory requirements.

This will include developing and delivering an annual plan linked to the product strategy including the review, re-development, development and research required for your own portfolio.

You will identify and submit recommendations and business cases, effectively source, commission and manage specialists, and foster effective working relationships. Additionally, you will attend relevant meetings with trade bodies, employers and centres.

As a Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for and manage the preparation, revision and re-submission of evidence, including specifications to meet company, regulatory and stakeholder requirements. You will also take charge of proposing assessment strategies for products and developing methodologies that maximise the use of appropriate e-enabled systems.

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will have experience of different assessment methods, types and practices employed in the 14–19-year-old and 19+ education sectors.

You must have a general assessment or qualification development experience. You will also need excellent project management skills to prioritise, plan and organise day-to-day activities, ensuring efficient and effective performance. Additionally, you must be confident with using a variety of IT systems.

Experience in managing focus groups and specialists whilst building strong relationships with trade bodies, employers and centres, is a must. Excellent communication skills to present information logically and concisely in ways that promote understanding and achieve collaborative and effective working is also essential.
