Greenfingers Charity creates magical, therapeutic gardens in children’s hospices across the UK, giving life-limited children and their families precious opportunities to spend time together outdoors, away from clinical spaces and surrounded by nature.
Having built over 70 bespoke gardens and with more hospices waiting for support, Greenfingers is entering an exciting period of growth through its Healing Hand, Helping Hearts Appeal. To help realise this ambition, the charity is seeking a part-time Philanthropy Manager who can build meaningful relationships with high-net-worth individuals and philanthropic supporters, inspire significant giving, and help fund more life-changing gardens for children and families when they need them most.

Greenfingers Charity is a national charity dedicated to creating beautiful, specially designed gardens for children who spend time in hospices, together with their families, friends, siblings and carers. These inclusive outdoor spaces offer opportunities for play, therapy, rest, reflection and memory-making, helping children with life-limiting conditions experience the sensory and emotional benefits of nature.
Each garden is designed around the needs of the hospice community it serves, creating safe and welcoming environments where families can share meaningful moments beyond the bedside.

This newly created Philanthropy Manager role will play a pivotal part in growing sustainable income for Greenfingers Charity at an important moment in its development.
Working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications and the Trusts Fundraiser, you will develop and deliver high-value fundraising activity, cultivate relationships with major donors and philanthropists and create compelling proposals, reports and impact updates.
You will also help plan and deliver donor events, represent Greenfingers at meetings and networking opportunities, and ensure supporters feel deeply connected to the difference their giving makes.
Who we are looking for
Greenfingers is looking for a confident, proactive fundraiser with experience of developing high-value relationships and inspiring philanthropic support.
The successful candidate will be a natural relationship-builder, able to open doors, nurture long-term connections and communicate the charity’s impact with warmth and clarity. You will bring creativity, ambition and strong stewardship skills, alongside the confidence to work independently as part of a small, passionate team.
An established network of contacts, experience of donor cultivation and a genuine belief in the power of nature to support children and families will be important to success in this role.
