We're partnering with Medical Aid for Palestinians in their search for a Philanthropy and Development Manager, a key role developing, implementing and maintaining their philanthropy strategy to accelerate fundraising growth across major donors and trusts & foundations.

Responsible for: two Development Officers – Major Donors and Trusts & Foundations

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory and Lebanon.

Develop, implement and maintain MAP’s Philanthropy strategy to accelerate the growth of fundraising across Major Donors, Trusts & Foundations income streams to achieve long-term, sustainable income growth within the UK. Work with the Director of Fundraising and Senior Management Team in developing pipelines and delivering income growth of institutional donors.

Who we're looking for

We’re looking for someone with substantial experience working in a donor-focused organisation, with a record of achievement in major donor development, trusts and foundations, events management and VIP liaison. You’ll have strong experience of managing and developing staff and a successful track record of achieving income targets by proactively seeking and securing commitment from supporters.

It is important you’ll have personal experience of securing and supporting donations at a six-figure level from major donors and trusts & foundations by producing high quality, compelling written and creative materials. We’re seeking someone with knowledge of philanthropic motivations and trends in philanthropy fundraising across the UK, and the ability to be able to identify and exploit new opportunities. You’ll be a team player, strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to form and maintain effective relationships and motivating a range of people.
