Lifetime Training, the largest apprenticeship provider in the UK, are recruiting for a commercially driven Operations Director to lead their new Digital and IT provision following the recent acquisition of Intequal, growing the offering and creating a sustainable and diversified business.
As Operations Director for the new digital and IT provision at Lifetime Training, following the acquisition of Intequal, you will be responsible for the leading this business unit through significant periods of growth, creating a sustainable and diversified business.
Delivering the agreed business targets, through our ways of working and behaviours, the role’s purpose is to drive the performance measures of the business unit resulting in the accomplishment of agreed targets and objectives.
Managing a team of around 40 employees, with two direct reports, you will drive the commercial growth through hands on involvement in the growth ambitions as well as ensuring a collaborative working style to further integrate the team into the wider Lifetime Training family,
Currently operating with 400 starters a year, the aim is to grow the provision to reach the level of our other successful business areas which currently have up to 8000 starts a year. Working closely with the Operations Directors of these other business areas, you will receive their full support and including access to Lifetime Training’s extensive employer partner network to assist in the provision’s growth and over the first 12months be expected to look at how best to grow the digital and IT offering for larger employers as well as continue to service Intequal’s historic SME network.
As Operations Director for this exciting new digital and IT offering at Lifetime Training, you will ensure that quality and standards remain a priority to ensure they enhance both our brand and market position and be involved in senior level decisions around strategy in this key market and skills area.
As Operations Director for this new provision, we require someone with expertise within the Digital and IT industry, with an understanding of apprenticeships to lead this exciting new business area following our acquisition of Intequal.
Having held a senior leadership role previously, you will bring an entrepreneurial approach to achieving sustainable commercial growth and have excellent networking and relationship building skills to extend the reach of the digital and IT offering to both large employers and SMEs.
As the Operations Director for this new team, you will have a track record in building and motivating high performing teams, delivering first class customer service and delivery whilst maintaining the values and standards of Lifetime Training and associated regulators within apprenticeships.
You will have a strategic approach to growth, and be motivated by the opportunity to take this new business area from a solid foundation to a market leading provider in digital and IT apprenticeships, whilst also being prepared when required to roll your sleeves up to work in the business as well as on the business.
