We are an award-winning social enterprise providing language services to a wide range of clients across the charity, business and public sectors. Many of our clients work with vulnerable adults and children and we are dedicated to ensuring we help them to communicate and get the support they need.

100% of our profits are donated to Migrant Help, our parent charity. This work supports their work with the victims of displacement and exploitation.

You will join us at an exciting time as we introduce a Transformation Director who will work with the board and our expert team to help shape, develop and drive our next strategic phase. To help us do this we now seek a range of new skills to contribute to our board. 3. Commercially oriented experience in education/training provider sector
  4. Entrepreneurship
  5. Finance

There is huge scope to build on the success of Clear Voice to date and so some experience of supporting an organization to continue to scale and grow would be beneficial. We expect, alongside your strategic know-how, you’ll share our values of being ethical, personal and adaptable and want to realise our mission of breaking down language barriers and ensuring our profits continue to help support victims of displacement and exploitation.

This is an immensely exciting time for our social enterprise after realising something in the realm of 700% growth over the last 4 years and being recognised through numerous awards including being a finalist in the Global Good and Social Enterprise of the Year awards in 2021. However, our ambition does not stop here. We now believe that we have the market profile, platform and resources to take the enterprise to the next level. We both want to expand and grow the existing core of the enterprise in the language sector through Clear Voice and develop new revenue streams that diversify our product and service offer yet remain aligned to the mission and ethical framework of our parent charity Migrant Help.

As we move forward, we are seeking a number of new Directors to join our Board as we embark on this next exciting phase. We are specifically looking for expertise in the following areas:

  • Tech/VC investment
  • Telco/data
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Education/Training providers
  • Finance

This offers you a fast paced and progressive environment where you will bring your strategic know how to navigate Clear Voice through a period of change, reinforce its governance and help scale and extend our services and deepen our impact.

These roles offer an outstanding opportunity for individuals who enjoy the challenge of scaling an established start-up enterprise, who connect with our values and want to make lasting social impact.

Please take the time to read this pack and to find out more about Clear Voice at clearvoice.org.uk. I do hope that you are inspired to take a leading role in the next chapter of our journey and look forward to receiving your application.

With best wishes

Mark Leigh
