BPS Assessment Ltd (BPSA) was established in 2016 as a subsidiary to the British Pharmacological Society to drive improvements in medication safety worldwide, through knowledge assessment and learning. The company develops products and services that help healthcare institutions, colleges and universities all over the world improve prescribing skills and patient safety.

Who we're looking for

The British Pharmacological Society is seeking two Non-Executive Directors for its subsidiary company BPS Assessment Limited: one with experience in sales to help guide the Board in sales strategies at a global level; the other with experience in directing the development of platform technologies, preferably for e-learning and online assessment, where their bespoke platform provides added value.

For both these key positions, experience of strategic planning, monitoring and evaluating performance and programmes in a commercial or non-profit setting, is required.

The Society is committed to increasing diversity within the Society’s leadership and welcomes applications from all, especially those from under-represented groups.

Commitment: Quarterly meetings for BPSA Board which are currently being held virtually, however, travel expenses in line with the Society’s expense policy will be paid.

This is an exciting time to join the BPSA Board, as we are entering a new phase of expansion and development. Our core business is developing products and services that help healthcare institutions, medical and pharmacy schools and universities all over the world improve the prescribing skills of their students and employees.

As a subsidiary of the British Pharmacological Society, BPSA drives improvements in medication safety worldwide, through knowledge assessment and learning. 2020 has been a challenging year for all sectors, however BPSA has thrived and we are now seeking to grow our markets significantly in 2021.

We are looking for two Non-Executive Directors: one with experience in sales to help guide our Board in sales strategies at a global level; the other with experience in directing the development of platform technologies, preferably for e-learning and online assessment, where our bespoke platform provides added value.

What We Do

We develop and deliver online products and services that help healthcare institutions, medical and pharmacy colleges and universities all over the world improve prescribing skills and patient safety. Our products include the Prescribing Skills Assessment, E-Learning and clinical pharmacology and therapeutics courses.

Our Platform – Our cloud-based platform offers a flexible learning and assessment environment for organisations looking to measure and improve prescribing safety and skill. Designed to support remote teaching and learning, our platform is accessible from anywhere in the world, at any time, on any device.

We offer a range of assessment and learning products in prescribing, with innovative features such as automated marking. Both formative and summative assessment options are available. Students can access rich and detailed feedback on answers they have provided, with all content written by expert pharmacologists, pharmacists and clinicians to provide the best learning opportunities.
