Gem-A is in an exciting post Covid growth period is recruiting for a Membership Coordinator to take ownership of their renewals process and improve data and processes.
Gem-A, an internationally renowned membership body are recruiting for a Membership Coordinator to be pivotal in driving their membership recruitment and retention strategy.
You will work closely with the Gem-A finance team and other colleagues across the organisation to shape the end to end membership experience.
As someone who has previous experience in a membership function of a professional body or membership association, you will use your experience of using CRM and Membership Management Systems to review and develop the current Gem-A membership offer.
The Membership Coordinator will be responsible for the end to end annual membership renewal process, ensuring a smooth renewal period, reviewing payment methods, application and renewal forms, creating renewal notices and working with other departments to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.
This role is an opportunity to take on the responsibility for providing and administering Gem-A Membership services on a global scale. You will work closely with colleagues to proactively develop and improve existing processes by benchmarking services and making recommendations for improving and modifying Gem-A’s offering to members.
This is an exciting role to take ownership of the membership offer, ensuring members receive a friendly and knowledgeable process throughout their customer journey whilst also developing financial management skills and having an impact on the global process of Gem-A.

Our Gemmology Diploma evolved from the first gem course proposed for the UK jewellery trade in 1908, and our prestigious Gemmology and Diamonds Diplomas — taught in seven different languages and 26 countries around the world — are recognised throughout the world.
Gem-A forms an international community of gem professionals and enthusiasts. We serve the interests of the gem and jewellery industries through the high standards of education on our courses and our support for global gemmological research. We also offer membership opportunities, the chance to buy gemmological instruments, a number of events and conferences throughout the year, as well as two internationally distributed publications, The Journal of Gemmology and Gems&Jewellery.
