Brilliant Head of Public Fundraising opportunity to join a global organisation that supports thousands of children and adults living with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges.

  • Location: Home-based UK or Dublin
  • Salary: c.£65,000 / €84,460

Who we are.

The Saint John of God Foundations (one in Ireland, one in Northern Ireland, both managed out of Dublin) are part of a global group that delivers healthcare in over 40 countries in Africa, Europe, North America, South America and Australia. The Foundations are responsible for raising funds for healthcare work in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Malawi and eight countries in West Africa through raising money in Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands. The Foundations raise over €5.7m per year mainly from over 32,000 regular monthly donors.

The Foundations are now seeking to expand its fundraising income with the following key objectives:

  1. Increase the base of regular giving.
  2. Increase the level of cash / appeal giving.
  3. Maximise the return from tax-efficient giving programmes.
  4. Increase the proportion of regular and appeal income delivered online.

The successful candidate will be responsible for an investment budget of €0.75m.

About the role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for

  • Strategic development, budgeting and annual forecasting of all donor recruitment, retention and donor development, including making investment cases for long-term growth in Ireland, and Northern Ireland.
  • Overviewing the individual fundraising programme, developing fundraising strategies and managing a range of activities across the whole supporter journey.
  • Taking lead responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Individual Giving programme including line management of fundraising staff.

Who we are looking for.

We are searching for an accomplished individual giving leader who has led multiple IG products and income streams. Someone who wants an opportunity to apply their wide-ranging skills to build on successful foundations and enhance the SJOG IG offering.

Candidates who are strategic yet hands-on and who take a data-led approach to decision-making will be successful in this role. We are also looking for creativity and the ability to tell impactful stories through a multitude of mediums.
