Head of Learning and Assessment Qualsafe

Qualsafe are recruiting for a Head of Learning and Assessment to shape the strategic direction of their product portfolio and lead their qualification development and e-learning teams to identify new opportunities and bring together different business areas.

  • Location: Home-based (with occasional office attendance in Bradford)
  • Salary: Up to £55,000

Having recently become an EPAO, Qualsafe are now looking to grow their reach and devise new and innovative products to expand into new markets as well as enhance their offering in the first aid and health sectors.

The Head of Learning and Assessment will lead the development and delivery of all learning and assessment products and services by having responsibility for the day to day management of the Qualification Development team and the Digital and e-Learning Design team.

As someone who has proven experience in the development of vocational qualifications and assessments within an awarding organisation you will impact on the organisational strategy by leading the learning and assessment design strategy and delivery, shaping the current and future qualifications portfolio.

As the Head of Learning and Assessment you will identify new opportunities that fit with Qualsafe’s existing customer base and portfolio, as well as look at new markets and client bases outside of their current first aid and health sectors.

You will lead an overall of 9, the qualifications team of 7 who are responsible for designing, developing and awards all of Qualsafe’s Awards’ qualifications, end point assessment products and digital learning/assessment solutions, and the Digital and e-Learning Design team of 2 who are responsible for designing and developing high quality e-learning courses and digital solutions that align to both unregulated training and regulated qualifications.

The teams have previously been under different functions so as the Head of Learning and Assessment, you will bring the two together to support each other in the design and development of products, as well as bring approaches to design and development up to date, improving and refining processes. You will have previous team management experience in order to support and develop the teams as individuals, understanding their different approaches and personalities.
