World Hepatitis Alliance is recruiting a Global Head of Partnerships to drive partnership income from corporates and beyond as they increase reach and impact across the globe.

The World Hepatitis Alliance is a global patient-led and patient-driven nongovernmental organisation with over 300 members in almost 100 countries. Our mission is to harness the power of people living with viral hepatitis to achieve its elimination. In doing so, we work with global institutions, national governments, our member organisations, and other stakeholders to raise awareness and drive action to improve the lives of the 325 million people living with viral hepatitis globally.


Job vision

To expand and diversify the World Hepatitis Alliance’s income from corporate partners and foundations through grants and event sponsorship. To develop the organisation’s offer to funders and increase income to deliver our five-year strategy and ultimately achieve our goal of eliminating viral hepatitis as a global health threat by 2030.


Key responsibilities

In collaboration with the CEO and leadership team, lead the implementation of the fundraising strategy, activity plans and achieving income targets in line with organisational funding priorities.

Maintain and develop relationships with existing partners.

Proactively research and engage potential new partners and develop relationships in support of the WHA mission.

Ensure the pipeline of prospective partners is actively managed, with new prospects added on a regular basis and new partnerships secured.

Develop tailored, creative and impactful presentations, pitches and bids to align with prospective partners CSR objectives and WHA mission and vision.

Develop and implement sponsorship programmes for World Hepatitis Day and global awareness campaigns.

Work with programmes and communications teams to develop compelling concept notes, proposals, presentations and pitches to generate new funding and repeat funding from existing partners

Personal Specification

World Hepatitis Alliance is looking for an exceptional fundraiser who has extensive experience in securing five and six figure, multi-year partnerships with corporate and private sector sources and/or trusts and foundations for a global organisation.

Suitable candidates will be well versed in creating and implementing successful fundraising strategies and have experience in achieving income growth.

The ideal candidate will be passionate and have a desire to make a difference and to improve the lives of the 325 million people living with viral hepatitis globally.
