Head of Fundraising The Aspinall Foundation

The remarkable conservation charity, The Aspinall Foundation, is searching for a Head of Fundraising to lead a new era of fundraising at this impactful global organisation.

  • Location: Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, Kent (office 3 days a week, with 2 flexible day option.)
  • Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

This special role, located on stunning grounds immersed in rich flora and fauna, will provide you with the motivation to lead fundraising at this impressive and vital organisation.

The Aspinall Foundation is at the forefront of fighting against extinction, playing a key role in areas across the world where threats to native wildlife are particularly prevalent.

Who we are.

The Aspinall Foundation’s mission is to prevent the extinction of endangered animals. Our overseas project teams work with communities and governments in Gabon, Congo, Madagascar, South Africa and Java to develop a balanced and sustainable future with wildlife and people living harmoniously side-by-side.

Working in partnership with two wild animal parks in Kent, we have rewilded hundreds of captive-born endangered animals back to their natural habitat to support and restore native wild populations.

About the role.

Leading a team of three, the role will primarily focus on individual giving, given that we have a strong and continuously growing donor base due to the assets of two wild animal parks.

Most of the IG support is low-value/regular giving, however, we do have some relationships with major donors, and this is an area of potential growth as well as securing more support from gifts in wills.

In time, we would also like to diversify our income by working more with companies, trusts and foundations.

Who we are looking for.

We are searching for an experienced IG expert who wants to further their career and take on a role that will allow them growth into a multi-income position.

You will be well-versed in leading creative campaigns and have experience across multiple fundraising products as you lead a team of three to success.

A passion for conservation work is desirable, but you do not need to come from a conservation background. First and foremost, we are looking for a talented, creative, and data-driven fundraiser who wants to work in a unique environment with plenty of opportunities to grow.
