Join Avenues Group as a Fundraising Consultant and support this well-respected charity as they help autistic people, people with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and complex needs smile, laugh and grow whilst achieving great things.
Avenues Group is a charity that runs support services for autistic people, people with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and complex needs.
We are a community where people smile, laugh and grow – and achieve great things. We love to go the extra mile for people, building confidence and individuality so they can enjoy fuller, happier lives.
This is an exciting time for us, as Avenues Group also now includes Autism Hampshire – a leading regional charity supporting autistic people and their families.
Avenues deliver supported living services, residential care services and community support across the South of England, London, East Anglia and the West Midlands. Autism Hampshire works in Hampshire delivering supported living, autism-focused training, mentoring for university students, community groups for autistic adults and an information, advice and guidance service that provides free-to-access autism-specialist information for autistic people, their families and professionals.
We are well respected by our professional stakeholders and loved by staff, families and people we support for the quality of what we do.
We do it all through our strong, positive and supportive culture, which flows through all our teams and services. We know that well-supported people support people well.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an expert fundraiser to help us embed a fundraising culture into the group at a time when we are growing through income diversification.
As the lead for fundraising in the charity, you will play a pivotal role within the Business Development, Marketing and Communications Directorate. The Directorate was formed three-years-ago to help the charity grow and reach more people. It is a highly successful and friendly team, operating across the Avenues footprint.
We are looking for a Fundraising Consultant to lead the development of our group fundraising strategy. The successful post holder will be a dynamic and successful fundraising consultant who will be responsible for leading the fundraising function in Avenues Group, including in the Autism Hampshire subsidiary.
You will have the opportunity to deliver the fundraising plan and agreed targets, developing new viable propositions, whilst demonstrating a flair for generating new income. You will also be a key player in the work to integrate Autism Hampshire into the Avenues Group.
The post is temporary, part-time and with flexible hours equating to 2 to 3 days per week for 12 months working either hybrid or remotely. It would therefore be suitable for a self-employed consultant looking to extend their portfolio of clients by working with an interesting and growing charity.
