Windsor Learning Partnership is an innovative, forward-thinking multi-academy Trust. To reflect the Trust’s ambitions and continued progress, we are looking to appoint an experienced leader to this newly created position – the Executive Headteacher role – who will oversee Windsor Girls’ School and Windsor Boys' School, and be the Director of Secondary Education.

About the role

As we enter the next phase of our development, we now seek an Executive Headteacher to join our executive leadership team. The Executive Headteacher will help lead the strategic direction of Windsor Learning Partnership, with a focus on curriculum design, stakeholder management, and organisational growth. You will lead the development of our teaching and learning frameworks, strengthening our cross-organisational culture and driving a culture of continual educational improvement in both settings.

The successful candidate will navigate governance intricacies, champion data-driven decision-making, and promote community engagement. You will coordinate our formal school reviews and be a key figure in our conversations with DfE and local authority, and lead our School Improvement across the Secondary sector.

As Executive Headteacher, you will ensure that behaviour and attitudes to learning remain at the highest possible standard and create a positive and developmental working environment for all of

our staff. You will be a key member of both schools’ governance and foster effective working relationships with both of our school’s boards, The Executive Headteacher will work closely with the current leadership team and our vision is that this role will grow with the Trust, and eventually transition into a Director of Education, with an influence over the future direction of the Trust.

Who we are looking for

We seek a leader with a proven track record in educational leadership, stakeholder management, and curriculum development. The Executive Headteacher should come with a QTS and have had a career in teaching and learning settings.

We are open to the school background that you come from, but ideally from the Secondary Sector, you should come with demonstrable success in improving school outcomes or maintaining excellence in your school. Whilst multi-site leadership is not essential, the desire to take the next step in your career and drive standards across schools is preferred. The ideal candidate will inspire staff, address immediate challenges and drive long-term improvements. Experience in managing a diverse team, collaborating with stakeholders beyond the Trust, and navigating cultural shifts is crucial.

Our schools play a key role in our community, so being outward-facing and being able to manage flourishing relationships with all external stakeholders, from parents and carers to local and regional sports clubs is key. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to embrace collaborative and innovative approaches, fostering a positive and open culture.

Windsor Learning Partnership has been growing in Windsor for nine years and is seeking to expand within the region in both secondary and primary phases. We pride ourselves on being collaborative and developmental, providing inclusive education for all children. We involve parents and the community in our work, and we listen and respond to stakeholders. Happiness and well-being are important to us and are a key element of success and pupil progress. The role of the Executive Head of the upper schools is a natural development of the ongoing work across both of our upper schools to develop their quality and increase opportunities for all our young people. Both popular sixth forms have grown together and yet still have even more potential to become the best in the region. As strategic head of Windsor Girls’, an expanding and innovative school, there is a real opportunity to shape its future with its talented staff and aspirational students. This new post also incorporates a fledgling director of secondary education role across the MAT, which will inevitably grow as the MAT grows.

The successful candidate will work with a highly engaged and motivated team of school leaders and governors and will be part of the central team within the trust, experiencing first-hand how a MAT runs, contributing to its strategic planning and taking direct responsibility for educational standards and creating improvements. About the Windsor Learning Partnership

Windsor Learning Partnership is the multi-academy trust for students in Windsor. They are a community of five collaborative academies where students are at the heart of everything they do. They drive outstanding outcomes for students, enhancing their learning opportunities and social mobility.

The Trust was founded in March 2015 through the coming together of The Windsor Boys’ School and Windsor Girls’ School in a multi-academy trust.  Dedworth Green First School and Dedworth Middle Junior School joined the Trust in May 2016 and Clewer Green CE First School joined more recently in April 2020. With the addition of a CE school, the Windsor Learning Partnership became a mixed multi-academy trust.
