SFJ Awards, an Ofqual regulated EPAO and awarding organisation are recruiting for an EPA Coordinator to be part of the team leading the way in their industry-focused standards, providing excellent customer service and logistical support.

  • Location: Hybrid (3 days office-based in Sheffield and 2 days home-based)
  • Salary: £28,000- £30,000

SFJ Awards is an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation and EPAO, dedicated to supporting employers and training providers. We deliver world-class and high-quality qualifications and custom certification for learners through approved centres in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Our learning and development programmes cover key public sector organisations including Policing, Fire & Rescue Services, Security, Healthcare, and many more.

We are also an Apprenticeship End-Point Assessment (EPA) organisation, approved by the Education and Skills Funding Agency, to deliver EPAs to apprentices for a growing number of apprenticeship standards in England.

SFJ Awards is part of the Workforce Development Trust Group, which includes Skills for Health, Skills for Justice and People 1st International.

The role

As the EPA Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering an effective, efficient and value for money programme of activities within the End Point Assessment service offer. You will work as part of a team liaising with and supporting a range of employers and training providers regarding a range of apprenticeship standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the pipeline for and scheduling End-Point Assessments in line with contractual and organisational requirements.
  • Liaising with employers/training providers to support them with the EPA process.
  • Managing documentation associated with the EPA process, including processing EPA pay claims.
  • Supporting the Lead EPA Co-Ordinator to coordinate and execute EPAs.
  • Recruiting, assigning work to EPA Independent Assessors.

Who are are looking for

To be considered for the role of EPA Coordinator, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience in planning and managing the logistics of examinations and/or assessments, such as scheduling, and organising a programme of activities across a range of locations or different parties.
  • Been involved in or have an understanding of apprenticeships, apprenticeship delivery or vocational learning/training.
  • Be used to working to quality assurance requirements and have strong attention to detail to meet standards and balance different priorities.
  • Strong communication skills to performance manage providers of services/associates and build strong sustainable relationships with customers and stakeholders from a range of different organisations.
