Who we are.

At One Fylde, we provide person-centred support, accommodation, and activities for adults and young people who have learning disabilities and autism.

Our purpose is to contribute to the well-being of everyone who is part of One Fylde and to ensure that they are treated with respect and enabled to live the best life possible.

One Fylde supports over 230 individuals in the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre areas, and employs nearly 400 staff.

About the role.

This is an exciting time to join One Fylde, as one of 4 Executive Directors leading the organisation. The Director of Housing and Facilities is a new role and you will have the opportunity to shape and grow the role and the future of the charity, whilst taking lead responsibility for the development and implementation of One Fylde’s housing strategy, and housing operations.

You will also build One Fylde’s brand reputation in the market as a provider of housing services to people with learning disabilities and autism.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a visionary individual with experience in housing and property management, and a passion for creating inclusive environments for people with learning disabilities and autism.

You will bring well-honed leadership skills to manage a small team, be commercially astute with the ability to engage and negotiate with key stakeholders and have the flexibility to travel around the region (approx. 30 mile radius).

It is with great excitement that I invite you to consider applying for the position of Director of Housing and Facilities at One Fylde, a leading charity dedicated to providing accommodation and support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism. This role is brand new to our organisation, offering a unique opportunity for you to shape the future of our housing strategy and make a lasting impact on the lives of those we support.

As CEO of One Fylde, I have seen first-hand the profound difference that safe, supportive housing can make in the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism. Our mission is to create fabulous housing models where everyone can thrive, and our new Housing Director will play a lead role in achieving that goal.

In this role, you will have the autonomy to design and implement innovative housing strategies including potential development of new housing, work collaboratively with a diverse team, and establish partnerships with stakeholders to ensure our strategy for housing is effective and sustainable.  You will also be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of our existing housing portfolio, as well as leading the development of new housing projects identified.

We are seeking a candidate who is not only experienced in housing and property management but also passionate about creating inclusive environments for people with learning disabilities and autism. Your leadership skills, creativity, and commitment to our mission will be instrumental in guiding our Charity into its next chapter.

A Community Charity

One Fylde is a charity that places itself at the heart of the community. We endeavour to do good wherever we can, and we empower our supported individuals to make meaningful contributions and gain life experiences.

As well as many volunteering programmes and workplace opportunities, One Fylde also runs a number of enterprises. Our Gardening Group offers garden maintenance to homes and businesses around the Fylde Coast, and The One Fylde Recycling Team offers regular cardboard collections from local businesses. These are great stepping stones for supporting people into employment and demonstrate the outstanding contribution that people with learning disabilities and autism can make to their community.
