About the role

Nene Park Trust is entering a significant period of growth and development. As we continue to enhance our environmental, visitor and community impact, we are seeking an accomplished commercial leader to help shape and deliver our long-term financial sustainability.

This role combines strategic leadership, commercial development and complex stakeholder engagement. The post-holder will identify and convert new commercial opportunities, optimise existing revenue streams, oversee a pipeline of major commercial developments, and build strategic partnerships that generate both financial return and public benefit.

As part of the senior leadership team, this newly created role replaces the Head of Parks Consultancy, who is retiring in 2027. Working across the Trust and alongside the CEO, CFO, Board and senior colleagues, the Director will ensure that commercial activity remains aligned with the Trust’s charitable purpose, values and long-term strategic ambitions.

Success in this role will be measured not only by income growth but by the creation of sustainable commercial models that enable the Trust to deliver lasting environmental, social and economic impact.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a senior commercial leader with a proven track record of delivering sustainable income growth, developing strategic partnerships and leading complex commercial and capital projects. You will bring strong strategic, financial and people leadership skills, with the ability to provide effective advice and recommendations at Board level.

  • Significant senior leadership experience within a commercial, business development, enterprise, property, infrastructure, visitor attraction, leisure or comparable environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering substantial revenue growth and income diversification.
  • Experience developing and implementing successful commercial or growth strategies.
  • Experience leading complex commercial negotiations and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience preparing and presenting business cases, investment proposals and strategic recommendations at Board level.
  • Experience managing large-scale commercial, capital or development projects.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong track record of financial management, budgeting and commercial decision-making.
