Age UK is the national charity for older people. Our mission is simple – to be here for older people who need our help the most. Right now, millions of people in later life are facing some of the toughest challenges imaginable. We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to grow our digital fundraising (income generating) activities including paid social, email, search, and display to drive key audiences to engage with fundraising campaigns and products.
There has never been a more important time to join the Age UK fundraising team. Against a backdrop of a broken social care system and millions already turning to Age UK for help, older people are amongst those hardest hit by the current pandemic and cost of living crisis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Fundraising Team of the Year (Third Sector Awards 2021). The team delivered Age UK’s single most successful year of fundraising, raising £74.8m against a target of £57.6m. This was a particular challenge as the charity was losing £850,000 every week that its charity shops were shut due to coronavirus restrictions, and key fundraising events were cancelled.
Our Fundraising team has a goal to grow income beyond £60M in the next five years and our digital activities will be critical to us reaching our target. We are investing in an ambitious fundraising strategy to help us deeply engage more supporters and partners in our work, so that we can be there for millions of older people who need to someone to turn to.
The Digital Marketing Manager will develop and implement the digital fundraising strategy. You will review the market, identify opportunities for income growth across all digital channels and drive fundraising income. This will be through the effective implementation of digital campaigns, products, and propositions to build long term acquisitions and grow loyalty amongst supporters.
We are looking for a digital fundraising expert for individual marketing, innovation, events, major donors, and legacies. You’ll have a successful track record in developing and implementing successful paid media that drive online conversion and revenue generating activities for different audiences.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning fundraising team and play a key role in helping us to achieve our bold targets. We are a collegiate, bold and motivated fundraising division.
We’d love to hear from you if you feel you have the right skills and experience. Early application is encouraged as we will review applications throughout the advertising period and reserve the right to close the advert at any time.
