There is a renewed feeling of positivity as the business refocuses and starts to look at new growth opportunities.
There are ambitious investment plans for new facilities that will ensure the campuses are being fully utilised and are future-focused for students, local communities and employers. The College is also focusing on developing digital education to help with innovative curriculum delivery. You will be fully supported by the Board to bring about the changes needed to ensure sustainability and growth. The CEO & Principal is looking for innovation from her Deputy Principal, someone who will be happy to challenge the status quo and who looks to bring solutions and strategies on how to keep moving forward. Over the last 12 months, the organisation has introduced new ‘staff voice’ initiatives to help everyone understand expectations and provide solutions to shared issues.

We are excited and ambitious for the future and want someone to join us who will share this excitement, building on the many successes we have enjoyed in recent years.
I re-joined the College in March 2018 and time has flown by as myself and colleagues have been progressing the many strategic agenda items which will shape our future. South Staffordshire College is at the heart of education in the area and as our new Deputy Principal you’ll be an inspiring leader looking for an opportunity where you can play a pivotal role in helping to deliver success.
I’m looking for someone who really values the importance of teamwork and who’ll quickly become an integral member of our Executive Leadership Team. Our most recent Ofsted inspection graded us as ‘Requires Improvement’ and whilst it goes without saying that this is not where we want to be, it is equally important to highlight how much has been achieved since that inspection. As a team we are determined that the entire College is focused on the key improvements required to deliver a more positive outcome at the next inspection.
This is an opportunity to work closely with me and bring visible and strategic leadership to the finance, estates, ICT and MIS teams, leading them to adapt to the changing, competitive FE sector. Our College never stands still, and we take pride in being highly pro-active and responding quickly to the world around us. We work across multiple sites and communities, and as well as offering a broad range of vocationally based courses we have a nationally recognised specialism in land-based education. We have superb employer relationships and the College is well-placed to maintain our outstanding record of graduate employability.
Our purpose is ‘Transforming the life chances of our communities’ so most important of all is a passion for the transformational power of education and training and a commitment to excellence in all that we do. You’ll be working with dedicated and talented colleagues throughout the College and have the opportunity with us to impact right from the start.
If you’d like to be part of our future success story, then we’d love to hear from you.
