We are supporting a leading national charity providing information and advice for children, young people and families to recruit a Deputy Director: Digital, Marketing and Communications.

  • Location: Office based in Shoreditch, open to flexible working options
  • Salary: £50,000

About the role

The post-holder will develop and lead the implementation of digitally focused marketing and communications strategies. This is a high impact and complex role that provides digital, marketing and communications leadership to the charity. Managing four teams with circa 20 staff, the post-holder will oversee an organisation-wide digital matrix team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, agree and direct the implementation of digitally focused marketing and communications strategies
  • Lead a team of circa 20 with strategic and executive responsibility for the organisation’s digital, marketing and communications activities
  • Directly line manage the managers of individual teams to ensure they are operating at optimal efficiency
  • Champion digital best practice across the organisation
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the brand strategy
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a media strategy and the charity’s media and communications crisis management plan

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced senior marketing, communications and digital professional with experience in developing and leading multi-functional teams. You will have a track record in developing and refining digital activity and have an excellent grasp of organisational brand management. You will also have experience in overseeing the development and implementation of effective and creative media strategies.
