Involve Kent is a charity providing vital community services and activities for people to improve health and wellbeing, empowering people and communities to live well and tackling the root causes of ill health including isolation, loneliness, disadvantage and frailty.
First established in 1975 to develop volunteering and communities, we are now leaders in social prescribing and other innovative approaches to improve wellbeing in communities.
We are ambitious about the impact we can have on health, and seek parity of esteem between social and clinical interventions.
We believe age is not a barrier to good health, and we work to the World Health Organisation definition of health as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
As we prepare to launch our new and ambitious strategy, ‘Building healthy, connected people and communities’, we are seeking an equally ambitious Chief Executive to lead us forward to the next exciting chapter.
Our Chief Executive will be an inspiring people leader, with a demonstrable leadership track record in a relevant voluntary sector or health/social care environment of similar scale and complexity.
You will be experienced in leading multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed teams and services, and bring a successful track record in developing high performing and motivated teams of staff and volunteers.
It is critical that our CEO maintains, builds and expands effective networks with Involve Kent’s stakeholders, while acting as key spokesperson, ambassador and advocate for the organisation and for the communities we support.
You will have the confidence and credibility to drive new opportunities, constantly horizon scanning and responding to the needs of our community. In addition, you will have experience of strategy development, strong financial acumen and direct experience of income generation and diversification.
