About RNN Group

RNN Group is based in the historical market town of Rotherham in South Yorkshire and was formed in 2016 as a result of the merger between Rotherham College and North Notts College —  and was later joined by Dearne Valley College through the area review.

Across five campuses, the college offers diverse provision through further education, apprenticeships and higher education and in addition to this has a partnership with the National Fluid Power Centre.

Most recently, the college was very proud to receive a ‘good’ rating following our recent 2023 Ofsted inspection. With a strong financial position and health forecast, we, as a college, are determined to drive forward excellence in the quality of education for all our learners.

Our vision is to lead innovation and skills in our communities, and we will continue to improve and develop our student experience so that we will be seen as exceptional by students across the organisation.

Our mission

Through our strategic relationships with all the communities we serve, our education and training will provide expectational opportunities for people throughout their lives.

Our centres of excellence will be inspirational, and we will remain agile to the needs of our employers, stakeholders, schools and the community.

The college is home to over 11,000 students, of which 1,400 are apprentices and 800 members of staff who are educating school leavers, undergraduates, employees and those re-joining the workforce.

As a college, we are keen to make a positive impact on the community, contributing to civic life and economic renewal. Through events, volunteering and charitable efforts, we ensure our staff and students are making a positive and long-lasting impact on the local communities we serve.
