Specialist, thoughtful and exceptional hospice recruitment

Working for a hospice is a privilege. From the CEO to the volunteers, every person makes a difference to providing expert, compassionate end of life care.

The modern hospice movement is responding to the growing demands of care support with innovative services, new technologies and wrap around support for everyone who needs them, at the point at which they’re needed.

We know that hospices need the best people and the best leaders. People who are mission-led, caring and also ambitious. Who can lead teams which will ultimately help more people to live as fully as possible for as long as possible.

Our hospice practice is led by Paul Fennelly, who has spent over 12 years working as a strategic consultant and interim leader in the hospice movement.

He’s raised millions of pounds to support people to have a good quality of life and to be afforded dignity and respect. But more importantly he understands why hospices are so special. What it takes to work in a very unique environment and why it’s an honour to try and give people the best end of life care – whoever and wherever you are.

“We were pleased to be working with Peridot and the team on our appointment to the Role of Director of Income Generation. They quickly understood the needs of the organisation, the values were wanted in candidates and the skills required to fulfil the role. The team at Peridot kept us informed through the process and the quality of candidates was of an extremely high standard. It was a pleasure to work with them and we would work with them again should we need to recruit at this senior level.”

Making hospice recruitment people focused

It feels good to work with us. Whether you’re a client or a candidate, we treat you like an individual. Someone who has values, goals and ambitions. And we talk to you about them.

We make the effort to understand what you need, so that we match you with people or hospices that really fit who you are.

If you’re a hospice, our briefing process means that we talk to your key internal stakeholders to get a confidential insight into what you’re looking for. And we’ll support you to get those messages right. If we think you’re missing an opportunity, we’ll discuss it with you honestly. Fundamentally, we take the time to listen you.

If you’re a candidate, we understand how daunting a recruitment process can be. So we make sure you have the information you need to feel confident. Whether that’s in helping to decide if a role is a good fit, through to interview preparation and feedback.

And if you don’t get the job, we’ll give you constructive feedback and help you look for a different role. We don’t just say goodbye. We are proud of our long-term relationships.

Paul at Peridot was one of the most supportive, friendliest and informative recruiters I have worked with. Paul made sure he was available out of hours to provide guidance and feedback before or after interviews. Paul talked through the role in great detail and was able to provide background on the charity. Overall I would recommend Peridot if everyone is like Paul!
