Peridot Partners appoint Chief Executive to Commonweal Housing

Peridot Partners were recommended to Commonweal Housing and duly appointed after a competitive process to manage the recruitment exercise for Commonweal Housing’s first permanent Chief Executive. Commonweal Housing is a registered charity which creates housing projects that incorporate bespoke services for occupiers enduring social injustice in order to demonstrate how these social injustices can be compassionately resolved. After managing a recruitment process that included an advert in the Sunday Times, advertising online and an executive search proactively targeting appropriate potential candidates, a strong longlist of candidates were seen for a preliminary interview. This led to a diverse shortlist of four people for final assessment, three of whom had been attracted through the executive search process. In the end Ashley Horsey, one of those approached for the role, won through as the successful candidate and starts with Commonweal Housing early in 2010. Ashley is currently Commercial Director for Local Space and has worked for housing associations in London and the South East before becoming Chief Executive of the Empty Homes Agency. He was Head of the Government’s Bed and Breakfast Unit before joining Local Space. We wish Ashley and Commonweal Housing the best of success in the coming years!

An Evening with The Rt Hon Francis Maude MP

On Thursday 10th December Peridot Partners hosted a dining event with Francis Maude as main speaker and over twenty high-profile leaders from the charity sector. The Editors of Third Sector and Charity Times also attended. The Shadow Minister was excellent in his interaction with a passionate audience and has given us all a welcome insight into the Conservative Party’s views for the public and third sectors. Dame Mary Marsh was exceptional in her role summarising the discussion and the feedback has been excellent: “Thank you so much for inviting me to the dinner yesterday evening. I was really pleased to be a part of it. I thought Francis Maude was very interesting and stimulating and the more I think about what he said the more impressed I am! It was a great opportunity to meet and speak candidly with some of the key players in the sector…” “Many thanks to you and Peridot for inviting me to share a very enjoyable evening and dinner last night. It was good to meet you and colleagues and to hear more from Francis. I look forward to working with you and Peridot in the future.” “Just a quick note to say thank you […]
