Partnership Director & Programme Manager needed for ‘Connect Yourself’ Partnership

At least 1 in 5 young people in the UK will experience disadvantage because they lack the skills, resources and opportunities to take control of their lives and realise their potential as active and engaged young citizens. ‘Connect Yourself’ harnesses the national youth support expertise of the Foyer Federation, Youth at Risk and Changemakers alongside local knowledge in a programme aimed at nurturing talent, unlocking potential and equipping young people with confidence, resources, employability skills and opportunities to overcome barriers to their participation and achievement in society.  The programme is shaped by the 14-19 year-olds who take part, and aims to ignite their capacity to become agents for change in their communities and provide opportunities for them to achieve their goals. Interim Centre and Community Development Director – 3-6 Months

  Based in London E1   Salary c.£50k pro rata (on an employment contract) or £300 per day (ltd company consultancy contract)   We are seeking somebody with experience leading a community venue and building links with community groups.  This centre is part of a prestigious charity that is seeking to develop the local community with a particular focus on children, young people and disadvantaged families. This role includes staff management and is delivering services within an equal opportunities multicultural environment. Budgetary control of centre activities and of individual projects as well as developing income from a range of sources, particularly local government, are important elements of the role.
