Interim Complaints Manager – London

Our client, a local authority in London, is currently searching for an interim Complaints Manager.  This person must be experienced in managing a team of complaints officers, as well as being extremely knowledgeable in both Children’s and Adult’s legislation.  You will be reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Adult’s services. Chair of the Board of Trustees, Durham Students’ Union

Unremunerated (expenses will be reimbursed) Durham Students’ Union represents over 16,000 students studying at Durham University. The University has two campuses – Durham City and Queen’s Campus (located in Stockton) – and is one of the top universities in the UK. It has a distinctive collegiate structure which includes 16 colleges.    The Union acts as a unified voice on campus and leads on issues such as academic representation and the provision of facilities, as well as running one of the most successful RAG operations (DUCK) in the country. The Union also has over 200 societies. A successful Chair will lead the organisation to have a higher profile with all stakeholder groups, in particular a more collaborative working relationship with Durham University.  The work of the Union will ultimately be more student-led.  The Board of Trustees will be well managed and all Trustees able to make a highly meaningful contribution. Overall, the impact of the Board will be clear to see. Trustee – Kent Union

Kent Union is the representative body for students of the University of Kent and Provides wide-ranging services for its members across Kent. The Union is a charity with revenues of £10 millon and 600 staff; it’s also a campaigning and member-led organisation. Our services range from a nightclub to a nursery, employment agency to shops, advice centre to 300 sports clubs and societies. This Trustee will Chair the Appointments and Governance Committee, which requires candidates to demonstrate a firm grasp of good governance, exhibit a commitment to the Seven Priniciples of experience of working in the Third Sector, ideally with a membership or campaigning organisation. Expertise in campaigning, politics or fundraising would be useful, but is not essential.
