Head of Income Generation, Earl Mountbatten Hospice

Salary: £40 – £45k Location: Isle of Wight The Earl Mountbatten Hospice is a highly regarded independent charity providing comprehensive end-of-life healthcare for the Isle of Wight community. Building on the foundations of more than 30 years, we support and care for people with life-shortening illnesses and their families and carers. Our core services include a 16 bed in patient facility, Hospice at Home and the recently opened John Cheverton Centre which provides a range of day and self-help services, therapies, support and information for patients, their families and the local community. We are looking to recruit a Head of Income Generation who embodies the values of the hospice movement, understands the future challenges and opportunities for fundraising and is passionate about people. Coming from a background in the charity sector, you will have multi-income stream experience as well as a track record of leading and developing a team of high performing fundraising professionals. Head of Client Services, Marriage Care

Salary circa £48,000 Full-time Location: Flexible, but with some presence in Nottingham/London Marriage Care specialises in helping couples – married or not – build and sustain strong, fulfilling, healthy relationships, and in providing support in times of relationship difficulty. Because better relationships make for better lives, more stable families and a stronger society. We are the largest faith-based provider of relationship support services in the UK working through our 53 Centres and 800 professionally trained and accredited volunteers. We provide marriage and relationship information, education and counselling support to thousands of people each year and have been doing so for nearly 70 years, building up a wealth of experience of how relationships survive and thrive. During 2013/14 alone, over 71,500 people accessed information about marriage and relationships from Marriage Care. In the same period 7,600 clients took part in nearly 10,000 sessions of marriage preparation or relationship counselling across England and Wales, whilst over 60,000 people accessed our web and social media resources. AberSU is a vibrant membership organisation with a financial turnover of c£2.5m and around 20 full-time staff. The organisation has 8,500 students of the University of Aberystwyth as its members, from which it elects people to lead it every year.  These elected Officers are supported by a permanent professional staff team and External Trustees. Unremunerated (reasonable expenses will be reimbursed)  Durham Students’ Union is a student-led charity, supported by a professional management team, with £2million turnover and 30 staff, representing 17,000 students studying at Durham University. The University has two campuses – Durham city and Queen’s Campus (located in Stockton-on-Tees) – and is one of the top universities in the UK. It has a distinctive collegiate structure which includes 16 colleges.  The Union acts as a unified voice on campus and leads on issues such as academic representation and the provision of facilities, as well as running one of the most successful RAG operations (DUCK) in the country. The Union also has over 200 societies. We are nearing the completion of a three-year strategy which has taken us right back to our fundamental purpose: as a democratic organisation, we need to understand and then ensure that the needs of Durham students are met. Community Trustees x2, Liverpool Students’ Union

Liverpool SU has 24,000 members who are at University on average for 30 weeks a year for 3 years. Our membership is diverse with 43% mature students and 51% who do not leave home to attend university, which presents a big challenge for engagement and ensuring relevant service provision.  Our annual turnover of £1.4 million a large proportion of which is in the form of a block grant from the University.  We are a union with strong values and a clear strategic plan. Our people and culture are student-led, inspirational, welcoming, easy-to-use and challenging. Our future is about working to support and campaign with LJMU students so that they have the best success, prospects of employment and feel involved in Liverpool as a city. Over the past three years we have revolutionised how we do business with our members.
