Oxfam, Senior Account Manager, Major Gifts

Location: Oxford or London (1 day per week in Oxford) Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 plus London weighting if applicable (£3,420)  It takes time and energy to win the fight against poverty. Salary: £39,281-£48,274  Durham Students’ Union is a student-led organisation which provides a range of support, activities and services for 17,000 students in Durham University. We are a membership organisation, a charity, a service-provider and many other things rolled into one. We place students at the centre of everything we do.  We undertake a range of activities – some of these are fun and exciting while some of them are much more serious and challenging. We train students to play a bigger role in enhancing the academic curriculum and we advise and support them when they occasionally find themselves in difficulty. We host hundreds of student groups which do everything from dancing to teaching maths to children in deprived areas, and from playing quidditch to campaigning for a better world. In 2005, to mark its 800th anniversary, University of Cambridge launched the public phase of Europe’s first £1 billion campaign.  It reached its target by 2010, two years ahead of schedule.  Building on this success, the University is planning for its next major institution-wide campaign.  Significant investment is being directed toward the expansion of the current alumni relations, communication and fundraising capability in the Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations Office. The Senior Associate Director, Major Gifts – Biological Sciences is a senior fundraiser within the Schools Based Fundraising team responsible for the design, support and delivery of the major gifts programme for the School of the Biological Sciences.  The School encompasses the Faculty Board of Biology and the Faculty Board of Veterinary Medicine and is represented on the Faculty Board of Clinical Medicine.
