Voluntary Various locations around the UK Carers Trust is the UK’s largest charitable organisation specifically concerned with addressing the needs of carers. Together with 156 Network Partners working across the UK we provide support, information, advice and services for people caring for a family member or friend. Organisations delivering much needed services in social care face increasingly daunting challenges. In response, Carers Trust offers network leaders the opportunity to participate in ADVANCE, a dynamic mentoring programme geared to give participants the support needed to steer their organisations and services into the future. We are looking for new mentors to join this successful development programme. ADVANCE mentors have already helped over 44% of network CEOs develop their leadership skills, empowering them to grapple with the complexity of rapidly changing contexts, locally as well as nationally, in order to deliver and grow services that focus on the best outcomes for carers and those they care for. For example, the number of donors making gifts to Imperial has increased steadily in the last ten years, with over 5,500 donors in 2014-15. Location: Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire The Hospice of St Francis is a highly regarded independent charity providing comprehensive end-of-life healthcare for the West Hertfordshire and South Buckinghamshire community. Building on the foundations of more than 30 years, we support and care for people with life-shortening illnesses and their families and carers. Our core services include a 14 bed in patient facility, and a wellbeing Spring Centre hub which provides a range of day services, therapies, support and information for patients and their families. The Hospice of St Francis is a registered charity receiving around 20% of its funding from the NHS. We rely on the generosity of our local community to fund the remaining 80% of our costs. This comes from many individuals, events, local businesses, trusts, schools, community groups, our shops, our lottery and Gifts in Wills. Director of Dissemination, Early Intervention Foundation

London £70-£80K The Early Intervention Foundation was established in 2013 to address the root causes of social problems for children and young people through intervening early. An independent charity, our vision is for every baby, child and young person to realise their potential and we have established ourselves as the ‘go-to’ organisation for evidence and advice on early intervention. We have made significant progress in ensuring that this evidence is made more accessible and that the case is made locally and nationally to shift spend towards earlier intervention to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
