Chair, Off Centre Hackney, London Unremunerated with reasonable expenses Initially c.2-3 days a month, transitioning to 1 day a month after the first year Off Centre is a counselling, therapy, advocacy, advice and psychosocial service for young people aged between 11 and 25 who live, work or study in Hackney. Our services are free, confidential and aimed at helping Hackney’s young people to have greater control over their lives. We help people with all kinds of emotional issues, including anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, self-harm, abuse, neglect, gender and identity and practical issues including education and employment opportunities and advice on housing and benefits. We are valued within our community and occupy a position of trust. Membership Services Secretary, International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) Location: City Road, London EC1V 1AH Salary: £25,000 per annum, plus benefits The International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) is the world’s primary accrediting and regulatory body for psychoanalysis. We have 13,000 psychoanalysts as members and work with 70 constituent organisations, spread mainly over Europe, North and South America, but with significant emerging groups in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The IPA has a turnover of around £2m pa, and a dozen staff based in our modern offices in the heart of London, overlooking a peaceful canal basin in EC1. We have incredible facilities, following a £36m capital investment across our campuses, and boast the best engineering assets in the region, which attract organisations like Bentley who train their apprentices here. We know our impact can be huge; we contribute £500m to the economy each year and 97.4% of our students leave college and go into employment or further study, but we know we can do more. The College has been on a journey of self-improvement following an Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) inspection in 2016 which rated the College as ‘Requires Improvement’.
