Action for Children – Head of Marketing and Service Development
Action for Children
Head of Marketing and Service Development
Location: Watford
Salary: £60,000
Our vision is of a world where all children and young people have a sense of belonging, and are loved and valued; a world where they can fulfil their potential and experience the joy of life. To achieve this mission we campaign, lobby and provide a full spectrum of services helping over 90,000 children across the UK. We innovate, we’re responsive and our services are of the highest quality. Most importantly we deliver positive outcomes for children.
We recognise there is potential for us to do more to support a wider number of children and young people. To ensure we are best placed to do this we have gone through internal re-organisation and change and the Head of Marketing and Service Development is a pivotal role in our new structure. It will enable us to improve differentiation of our services, understand both our customer’s needs and our competitors better, and importantly provide the marketing intelligence to support growth and new opportunities for service and business development.
To be successful in this role you need to bring senior marketing and brand development expertise, probably in a b2b context, with a proven track record in shaping a market and driving demand. You must be able to lead and deliver a new marketing and customer strategy and position marketing as central to our service and business development. Your leadership skills and ability to work across an organisation, demonstrating the value and impact of effective marketing are just as important as your technical marketing ability. You must be ambitious, articulate and passionate about your field and able to impart this and influence others.
