The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
The charity has entered the first year of an ambitious three-year strategy that aims to deliver significant growth, firmly rooted in meeting the needs of The Royal Marsden and most importantly demonstrating how charitable support will improve cancer care and outcomes for all patients. The Head of Charity Finance will lead the running of our finance operations, ensuring the use of resources are maximised and our new strategy is achieved. This role also involves working closely with the rest of the leadership team, as well as acting developing and managing the finance team, which currently consists of a management accountant and a finance assistant
We are looking for a qualified and experienced accountant, ideally with direct charity accounting knowledge and expertise. You will come with proven experience of staff management, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and will be able to communicate financial issues to non-specialists. You will need to be an analytical and a strategic thinker with the proven ability of drive and improve reporting and management accounts.
