I graduated from Boston University with a BA in International Relations and BS in Journalism. Having completed my final semester of study in London, I stayed and began working for EUSA, an academic internship provider for American University students. Here my role involved recruiting and developing work placements and building professional partnerships between academically excellent students and diverse organisations in London including the House of Commons, EveryChild, The Royal Bank of Scotland and the BBC. I meanwhile completed an MSc in Public Policy at UCL.
After several years I moved to the TMP Worldwide Executive Search Practice where I began working with Grant. As a Public and Third Sector consultant I delivered a mix of high profile appointments including the Director of the London Skills and Employment Board, the Head of Police Finance and Pensions Unit at the Home Office, 8 Regional Operations Directors at Animal Health and Divisional Manager – Legal Services and Governance at Ofsted. I also worked with Grant to appoint a Chair and 10 Trustees for Skills-Third Sector, a new pan-sector skills body. At this time I developed a particular interest in working with civil society and social enterprises dedicated to enabling social change, as well as on non-executive appointments that safeguard effective governance.
Keen to continue my work for an ethically minded recruiter offering bespoke and affordable support to social change organisations, I joined Peridot Partners in August 2010.
