Alice is involved in the delivery of industry, company and people research as well as providing project management support across the business for the Directors and Business Managers. Having gained an MA in Medieval Studies from York, an earlier career in administration for a company running clinical trial and experience of research, database and administration support in executive search, Alice is adept at applying her research skills to executive search and identifying and reaching out to find the perfect candidates for our clients.

Business Manager, Fundraising Appointments
Annie has 4 years’ fundraising recruitment experience within the not for profit sector, recruiting mid to senior level fundraisers, Directors and CEOs across national and international charities including Age UK, VSO, Teenage Cancer Trust, Bloodwise and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. During this time, she has developed her knowledge as well as an extensive network of contacts within the sector, working across all income streams. Annie is passionate about her excellent relationships, giving a tailored and professional approach to individuals and organisations alike. She works closely with Simon Callaghan to build our fundraising practice across the not for profit sector.

Associate Business Manager
Bill is incredibly passionate about the student movement and his experience includes two years as a Sabbatical Officer and Trustee at a small and specialist Students’ Association. As an Officer, Bill worked on an NUS diagnostic and turnaround, the recruitment for a new trustee board and CEO as well as the delivery of Abertay’s first ever TEDx conference. Bill’s other roles have included being an Activities Co-ordinator at Salford SU and a member of NUS Scotland’s Procedural Committee. He will be using all of his knowledge and experience to recruit for positions within Students’ Unions.

Jennifer successfully completed a BA in English and History, an MA in English Literature; and not having enough of research, went on to complete an MA in Holocaust Studies. Working across the charity sector, Jennifer endeavours to build strong, long lasting-relationships and to continue to gain a deep understanding and knowledge of the sector and organisations within it.

Sam cut his teeth in the notoriously challenging recruitment to recruitment sector before shifting his focus to working with organisations with a social purpose. He has worked within the charity sector for Spana and the Alzheimer’s Society, giving him a useful insight into how charities function. I really enjoyed working with Grant and the team at Peridot Partners throughout my recruitment process. As the chair of the board for Relate I recently worked with Peridot Partners in connection with the recruitment of a new chief executive, following the departure of our chief executive, Ruth Sutherland. The departure of a successful and inspiring chief executive requires very careful handling as it can lead to a loss of confidence within the organisation. The appointment of Peridot proved to be very important in bringing confidence to the appointment panel, the whole board and ultimately the organisation. Peridot was swift, efficient and confident in their approach to a very difficult appointment. At all times I was impressed with the staff, their approach to the assignment and their understanding of the needs of the organisation. A large number of applicants were swiftly taken down to a reasonable number with the work Peridot did scoring each candidate against the qualities and experience we were seeking. Their interviews in the round enabled us to bring the long-list to a number which was manageable for the appointment panel and their support for the final interviews, which lead to a successful appointment, was excellent. Peridot Partners is a very professional organisation; I would have no hesitation in using them again for another senior appointment.

As co-chairs of the charity we had a difficult situation to deal with in replacing a long standing CEO unexpectedly. We found Grant Taylor and his team friendly, very thorough, and easy to collaborative with over an intensive month or two which included advertising, compiling jointly a search process, agreeing and interviewing a long list of ten from a response rate of 50. Agreeing a shortlist of five, and an interview day involving tasks, side meetings with staff etc, leading to a final meeting with two candidates and finally negotiating an offer with our preferred candidate who now as our CEO we are extremely happy with. We would strongly recommend Grant Taylor as an astute and extremely efficient adviser on the many problematic issues we had to deal with throughout the process.
